Edit with color
Most photo editors make you translate what you see into sliders. Tone Caliper lets you work directly with the colors in your photo.
They appear on the wheel as a soft map. Pick the blue in the sky, the green in the trees, or the warm tone on a wall. Then move it where you want it to go.
Shape the colors already in the frame. Push a sky deeper. Warm a highlight. Pull one tone away from another.
Refine with light
A color edit doesn’t have to affect every part of the frame. Limit it to the highlights, midtones, shadows, or any range in between.
Warm just the highlights. Cool only the shadows. Treat the same color differently depending on how brightly it appears in the frame.
With a color pin active, press H to reveal its selection directly over the photograph as a grayscale preview.
Separate similar colors. Give each one its own lightness range, then move them independently on the wheel.
Black and white starts with color.
A good black-and-white photo is not just a desaturated color photo.

Which files can it open?
JPEG, PNG, TIFF, HEIF, and camera RAW — Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus/OM System, Pentax, and Adobe DNG (including Apple ProRAW, Ricoh GR, and DJI).
Does it change my original files?
No. Your originals are read-only — never moved, renamed, or overwritten. Every edit is stored separately in a single catalog file you control, so you can rework or reset any photo, any time.
Does it fit my current workflow?
Yes. Tone Caliper reads the folders you already have and changes nothing on disk, so it sits beside whatever you use now. Think of it as a non-destructive color finisher: point it at a shoot, grade or convert to black and white, and export.
